MoTeC M1 Firmware: JRR Dodge Viper Universal

JRR Dodge Viper Universal firmware license for MoTeC M1 ECU

  • If you are a MoTeC dealer or already own an M1 ECU, you can purchase just the firmware license - no ECU purchase required

  • This firmware package suits the following models:

    • 1996 to 2002 Dodge Viper Gen 2
    • 2003 to 2006 Dodge Viper Gen 3
    • 2008 to 2010 Dodge Viper Gen 4
    • 2013 to 2017 Dodge Viper Gen 5
    • A paddle shift gearbox control version of this firmware is also available, which is based on JRR Universal Motorsports Paddle Shift/MoTeC GPR-P, for running air shifted sequential gearboxes.

This firmware is based upon JRR Universal Motorsport/MoTeC GPR and includes the following additional features:

    • Integrates fully with OE CAN bus on Gen 4 and Gen 5 models - maintains proper vehicle operation and dash functionality

    • Supports OE cruise control, launch control and traction control functionality using the OE steering wheel controls and OE display - Gen 5 model only

    • Supports driver calibration switches using OE steering wheel controls - Gen 5 model only

    • Advanced boost control strategy with flexible table setup options and support for electronic wastegate, dual boost solenoids and comprehensive CO2 control

    • Two stage nitrous control - various parameters supplied to control nitrous. Includes nitrous bottle heater relay control based on nitrous pressure

    • Supports flex fuel and dual fuel configurations

    • Supports standard gear lever shifted sequential gearboxes, with closed loop gear cut/blip control using shifter load cell and barrel position sensor.

    • Water injection control - with failsafe for boost/timing/fuel based on pressure sensor feedback

    • Direct control of most electronically shifted 4 speed automatics with lock-up torque converter control

    • Features calculated engine speed based traction control (from MoTeC GPR), as well as wheel speed differential traction control (similar to the M800) for automatic transmissions or any other setup with slip between the engine and the drive wheels.

    • Integrated transbrake bump control with programmable creep feature

    • Advanced CAN transmit and receive, which features both standard M1 features as well as a new custom CAN setup allowing user defined flexibility to send and receive messages to other devices.

    • Comprehensive engine protection strategies including high temps, low fuel pressure, low oil pressure, injector duty cycle, and many more

    • Air bypass anti-lag control - for increased ALS performance (when used with appropriate engine hardware)

    • Specifically supports MoTeC LTC and AEMnet lambda devices via CAN, as well as most other CAN and analog widebands using generic configurations

    • Supports direct input from Obsidian INS and Racegrade IMU

    • Supports direct input from a MoTeC/Racegrade CAN keypad

    • Like anything, the MoTeC M1 requires knowledge and experience to gain the best results. While we are happy to answer technical questions, purchase of this M1 firmware does not come with unlimited tuning support. We can quote tuning for your particular setup, refer you to someone in your area, or if you prefer to do it yourself (and lack the experience) then we can also quote training.

    • This firmware is for closed course competition vehicles only. It does not meet federal emissions requirements.
