It has been a huge pleasure working with Alyanna, Kainan, JD, Jayson and the rest of the Bacco Racing team/family this season. They campaigned their Polaris RZR RS1s in both the TexPlex Park UTV series and the Mid America Outdoors UTV series, with Kainan running in Pro NA class and Alyanna in Women's Expert/Expert NA. These kids can drive! Super impressed with the speed and maturity displayed all year, and I sure don't mind how good they make my work look. My only regret is that we did all of the work remotely, so I have yet to meet them in person. Hopefully we can change that in 2022!
The team built new machines for this season, and I supplied MoTeC M130 engine control with JRR RZR firmware, PDM15 power management and custom motorsport wiring looms. The tuning, data logging and diagnostics capability of the MoTeC package makes a huge difference when trying to find every last bit of power and lap time. In addition, we shaved around 6lbs of weight with the new electronics and wiring looms. Every bit counts!
My friends at D&M Racing did a great job building a competitive engine package. We spent a lot of time on the dyno, trying different ideas in search of hard to find naturally aspirated horsepower. The quest for more will never end, but really stoked with how competitive, reliable and useable the setup was.
